January 11, 2014 – Day 6
Rest Day and Weigh In
This morning I was up early to find out my first week results. And here they are.
Weight: 9 pound loss
Chest: no change
Waist: 1.5 inch loss
Arm: no change
Thigh: no change
I was happy with the results and gave myself 10 pats on the back for that. I had to admit that I expected less weight loss an and more inches lost, but I have no real reason for why I thought that. I am off to a good start!
Having said that, I was out and about today and it was a challenge. I worried about getting in my snacks and keeping my food stored properly for the day. Additionally, I was helping a friend with her baby’s 1st birthday party and I got the wonderful task of stuffing the piñata with loads of candy. Candy I love. What a challenge! I realize that my body gets physically ill from trying to fight temptation. It’s also why I was less than myself. Yeah, I had some snarky moments, but they understood. That’s what friends are for. I got through the day without a glitch, but I have the actual party next week Saturday. This will be a challenge. I am not sure if I just eat the food there and keep it controlled or bring my own to really stay on course. I need help with this for sure before the 18th. I’ll keep you posted.
January 12, 2014 – Day 6
Stretch Day and Prep for Week 2
Today, I did the stretch and found myself asking, “Which part of this is a stretch, Shaun T? ” I was sweating similar to all the other day’s workouts! It did feel good to move again. I can see myself getting addicted to these workouts. I’ll let you know when that happens.
Week two starts tomorrow and with results like mine I’m motivated to continue and see some long-term success, so my philosophy remains the same. One day at a time.
