Weekly Weigh In
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I’m recording my results for the week! You will notice that I’ve added an area of measurement and organized it a little bit different. Here we go:
Weight: 2.5 lb loss
Chest: 1/4 inch loss
Waist: no change
Hips: no change
Arm (L): 1/4 inch loss
Arm (R): 1/4 inch loss
Thigh (L): no change
Thigh (R): no change
I made a little headway this week, which I am happy about! Technically because there is no rest day, Sunday should be my weekly weigh in day but. I’m happy with Saturday morning, so we’ll be able to see what a full week looks like, next weigh in.
Total Body Challenges
So week one of 21 Day Fix is done. I really like it. Autumn introduces moves that I have never seen before like surrender squats and even some stretches that feel really good that I haven’t done before. Love it! I have to say that the most challenging workout has to be Total Body Cardio Fix. She does a move called “Surrender Squats” These things are seriously atrocious. They really work everything but they literally bring you do you knees. LOL. I’m going to show you them in a video (hopefully this week). This is another one of those moves where I have to laugh at myself when I’m doing it because I’m like WTF and HTF am I going to get up and out of this much less do it over and over again for 60 seconds. One minute doesn’t sound like much until you’re in hell. Hahaha! It’s a really good workout though. I must say, I am happy that I don’t see it again until next week!
So on this nutrition program you can have some treats, which I love. I made these cookies and had them with a cup of Chai Tea which was a nice compliment to the cookies. They came out pretty good and for those of you who are doing my clean eating challenge, this fits in perfectly! On 21 Day Fix’s nutrition program, I can only have this or similar treats like wine only 3 times a week! You should make them. I had cookies yesterday on this program because it is pretty flexible.
Banana Oatmeal Cookies (Serving size=2 cookies – Recipe makes 8 servings)
1 cup Old-fashioned rolled oats
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. seas salt
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1/4 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. coat baking sheet with spray (I lined my pan with parchment paper) and set aside
3. Combine oats, cinnamon and sea salt in a medium bowl; mix well
4. Add bananas, raisins and walnuts; mix well
5. Drop by heaping Tbsp onto prepared baking sheet; flatten cookies with a spatula
6. Bake for 14 to 15 minutes or until firm
Week Two Begins
As week two begins I have to tell you that I do miss having a rest day. There are active recovery days of yoga and pilates, which you all know is not really a rest! However, I keep telling myself that this is a 21 Day commitment (knowing me – more like 28 days because I’ll push it another week, but we’ll see). I can do this and I just have to suck it up that there is not rest day. I hope this week not that my body is more familiar with the workouts that I do the program better and see more inches loss. You’ll hear all about it!
Cheers and have a super week!
